Melissa Buchholz - Teacher of Music

Melissa has been a teacher of music for over 30 years and is renowned for the high standard of her students. She teaches piano, flute, recorder, clarinet and saxophone to Diploma level. Countless students have achieved their Associate and Licentiate Diplomas with both Trinity College London and the AMEB in these instruments. Melissa has also taught trumpet and euphonium, violin and double bass to Grade 8 level and is also a vocal coach. Many of her students have gone on to Tertiary studies in their chosen instruments and made successful careers in the music world.

Melissa is currently  an instrumental music teacher at Toowoomba Grammar School .She also has a thriving private practice that includes students from all over NSW and QLD. Her students work towards exams and she is very much a goal orientated teacher.

Ensemble work also plays a big part in Melissa's teaching career. At present she conducts the clarinet and saxophone ensembles at TGS, as well as various chamber ensembles in her private practice.

Melissa is a gifted teacher - she is very intuitive - providing the perfect balance of expectation and encouragement to make sure her students achieve their potential. We credit our son's increased enthusiasm and great results to her expert tuition. We could not recommend her more highly.
